Clover overview
Clover is the point-of-sale platform Cloud9 installs most. Cloud9 is your payment processor: we set the rates, fund your deposits, and answer the phone. Clover is the equipment and software that runs the counter. These guides cover the Clover side, in the order a new location meets it.
The pieces
- Hardware. Station Duo and Station Solo at the counter, Mini as a compact register or a second screen, Flex in hand for tableside and curbside. All of them run the same apps and share one inventory.
- Inventory. Every item you sell, with its price, category (the tab it lives under on the register), modifier groups (sizes, temps, add-ons, "no onions") and labels (which printer the ticket goes to). Inventory is one list shared by every device.
- Register or Dining. Two apps for taking orders: Register for counter service and retail, Dining for table service with floor plans, tabs and coursing. A restaurant usually runs Dining; a café or shop runs Register.
- Printers and displays. Receipt printers at the counter, kitchen printers or a Kitchen Display at each station, routed by label.
- Online Ordering. Clover's own ordering site and app that sells from the same inventory, with pickup and delivery.
What Cloud9 does for you
- Orders and configures the hardware, and delivers it programmed to your account.
- Builds or imports the menu; the Menu Converter lets you do it yourself in an afternoon.
- Installs on site across Northeast Ohio, and supports the system after: same-day on-site help when something is down.
- Sets your processing: interchange-plus or dual pricing, next-day funding, no long-term contract.
