Clover Flex

Clover Flex is the handheld. It takes the order, takes the card, prints the receipt and scans a barcode, anywhere Wi-Fi or LTE reaches.

Where it earns its place

• Tableside with Dining: open the table, take the order course by course, fire to the kitchen, pay at the seat with tip on screen.
• Curbside and delivery: run the card at the car or the door.
• Line busting: take orders down the line and pay before the counter.
• Pop-ups and events on LTE with no counter at all.

Setup notes

• Charge on the dock overnight; a full day of service on one charge is normal, and the dock doubles as a stand.
• Wi-Fi coverage across the whole floor and patio matters more for a Flex than any other device. We survey it on install.
• Paper roll loads from the back; keep a spare in the drawer.

Everyday

• Runs Dining, Register, Inventory and Reporting.
• Sleeps between uses; wake with the power button. A restart from the power menu clears most odd behaviour.
