Online Ordering
Clover Online Ordering is a hosted ordering page (and a listing in the Clover app) that sells from the same inventory as your registers. Orders arrive on your devices and route to the kitchen like any other, and payment settles with the rest of your processing.
What it uses from your menu
- Items, prices, categories and modifier groups, as built for the register.
- Item descriptions and photos, which the register does not show and the import spreadsheet cannot carry. Your setup guide lists the descriptions the converter read from the printed menu so you can paste them in.
- The available flag per item, so you can sell a smaller menu online than at the counter.
Setting it up
- Turn on Online Ordering in the dashboard and set pickup (and delivery, if you offer it), hours, lead times and order caps.
- Add descriptions and photos to the items you sell online; hide the rest.
- Decide how orders arrive: printed automatically in the kitchen, or accepted on a device first.
- Place a test order from your phone, watch it route, and refund it.
Online orders count as card-not-present, which affects the interchange on those sales. Ask us how your pricing handles it.
