Takeout, online ordering and curbside

Off-premise orders live in the Takeout Manager, separate from the dining room, with their own statuses. Curbside pickup, delivery and online ordering all land there.

Takeout Manager

The screen is a list of off-premise orders with a tab for each status across the top: All, Need Approval, Scheduled, Preparing, Ready for Pickup and Closed. New online orders wait under Need Approval if you turn that step on. Scheduled holds orders placed for later today or a future day. Preparing means the kitchen has it, and Ready for Pickup is the state that sends the guest a text.

Each order shows its prep time, and the buttons along the top handle the whole list at once: Bulk Tip to enter tips for several orders, Batch Payments to settle them, Print Last Receipt, Multiselect to act on more than one order, and New Order to key a phone order by hand.

The guest gets a text

When a customer is linked to the order, or placed it online with a phone number, TableTurn texts them automatically when the order moves to Ready for pickup. No one has to call.

Not supported yet

As of EPI's July 2026 training sessions:

  • Text alerts to the merchant when a new online order arrives. Someone watches the Takeout Manager screen instead.
  • QR-code ordering at the seat with per-seat text notifications.

There is no kitchen display (KDS) integration today; kitchen printers cover the same ground.
